Wireplay Team Fortress 2 League

'We have changed what was our 7v7 into a 9v9. We hope this will take off
and offer the community another nice highlander league to participate
in.

For this our first season we will start only opening to euro teams or
teams who can play euro times on euro servers. We will think about
opening to the world if its a success in future.


All players can have a vote on the maps in
this poll. As for weapons, undecided at the moment but likely to be most unlocks allowed except for the very overpowered.

Signups are open, once you have created a team on the 9v9 tab of the
site, you can join from your control panel. The 9v9 site uses the same
team database as the 7v7 did, so some teams may already be registered.
When you do this you will be asked for what div skill you are, from 1-6.
The season will most likely be 7 games long.


The deadline to signup will be Friday 4th May, and the league proper
will start on Monday 14th. As always admins are available in #wptf2l.


This is our first bash at a 9v9, we hope a lot of teams will join and make it a success.'


So I ask you guys, do you want to participate in this? And will you be committing to this? I'd like to see everyone posting here what they think about it. Also if you do think we should play, state if you're gonna be in or out for this season. People whom I don't hear of either here or on steam are automatically not in for this season if we do decide to enter. Danke.

As soon as I figure out abit more about this, I'll remain neutral.

edit: If matches, as ling said, are on the weekends I'd be up for it. If any work or other stuff occurs, I'll let you know BEFORE this time.

As long as matches are on weekends, and not at the same time as the 6s matches, I'm cool with it.

Will commit to being there for the matches, unfortunately can't be sure if I'll be worth using, still haven't started practicing enough because failing all the stabs I had in offline because of my ping on actual servers seems just... not overcomeable :s

That's okay man, I'd love to have you sub for me a bit more. Everyone seems to really like playing with ya, and I want to cut back a bit, think you're up for that instead of playing Demo/Soldier?

I think depending on the time of the matches I might be every other day. Hopefully by then I should be partly on Study leave and won't have as many issues with classes around college.

Unfortunately around the 12th or 13th of June sometime, I do my last official exam and then won't really have much time at all.

I'd still like to be signed up for it though

Well i very well could. I would of course prefer the other two classes, but getting more of a "permanent" spot would be a great honor.

Yoyoyo you know it. Btw, when would we be done playing this tournament? Especially cause i am going to Iceland for 2 weeks, hasn't been planned when. Going to see the other 90% of my family i hardly never see.

Well it's 7 games, so i'm guessing 7 weeks the least, 14 max, of course that would mean a game every other week that i just might be okay with :3

So what level are we gonna play on? As I understand it, wireplay has divs like pretty much every other league. What div we gonna be in?
